My Sci Fi & Fantasy Writing Series

I am going to be blogging on my process on how I write science fiction and fantasy. I first have to say that I took a break after having several failed projects and I lost my nerve. So I have many partially completed projects, and digital notebooks full of ideas. Over the next few years I will be a very consistent producer of works.

A Writing Trap I fell into…

One of the most enjoyable parts of writing I love it world building. I can spend hours, days, and weeks creating new worlds, gods, societies, religions, etc. In fact, I have done just that. Then I take those worlds and plan books, trilogies, and even franchises out of them. But, I planned so much I never got around to finishing the books I put so much effort in planning. It is insane.

I call it, paralyzation by planning. I am an outliner, but you can plan too much. I, unfortunately let it get to me. The result was I got frustrated and gave up. All the ideas, plans, etc, was for nothing.

About this blog series…

I will be writing about my writing process and share with my audience how I write, promote, and sell books. I plan on blogging once per week.
